Re: Boarding and Travel

Dear Parents & Guardians:

I request all parents to follow the following laid out policy with regards to departure and arrival into the boarding houses during term break.

Dasara Break:

All Boarders Grade III – XII depart on Wednesday September 23rd, 2009 from 4:00 pm onwards.

The return time for all Boarders will be on Tuesday September 29th, 2009 by 5:30 pm.

Diwali Break:

All Boarders Grade III – XII depart on Wednesday October 14th, 2009 from 4:00 pm onwards.

The return time for all Boarders will be on Tuesday October 20th, 2009 by 5:30 pm.

December Break:

All Boarders Grade III – VIII depart on Friday December 18th, 2009 from 4:30 pm onwards. Only Parents and authorized guardians are requested to pick up their student from the Reception.

Otherwise Grade III – VIII boarders depart on Saturday December 19th, 2009.

All Boarders Grade IX to XII depart on Saturday December 19th, 2009 from 12:30 onwards.

The return time for all Boarders will be on Sunday January 10th, 2010 by 5:30 pm

Easter Break:

All Boarders Grade III – VIII depart on Friday March 26th, 2010 from 4:30 pm onwards. Only Parents and authorized guardians are requested to pick up their student from the Reception.

Otherwise Grade III – VIII boarders depart on Saturday March 27th, 2010.

All Boarders Grade IX to XII depart on Saturday March 27th, 2010 from 12:30 onwards.

The return time for all Boarders will be on Monday April 12th, 2010 by 5:30 pm

June Break:

All Boarders depart on Thursday June 10th, 2010 from 4:30 pm onwards.

The return time for all WB and YB will be on Monday 16th August 2010 by 5:30 pm.

Please note that students of Grades X and XII will have a different departure schedule based on their examination timetable, which will not be available until next year.

I will appreciate if parents adhere to the timings and not request for any further extension of leave or arrival time.

All parents are requested to communicate only with Administrative Officer and Travel & Transport Coordinator, regarding any travel or transport related issues by email administrator@tisb.ac.in You are requested not to send travel/transport related emails to other staff members.

Last minute requests for school transport, leave extensions or arrival extensions will not be entertained.

I request all parents to fill up the uniform measurement forms and email them to jjayashree@tisb.ac.in by July 1^st, 2009 to ensure that your child is in full school uniform on the first day of school Tuesday August 18^th, 2009. We strongly encourage parents to fill up the uniform measurement form and not wait to come to the school on the dates mentioned below for uniform measurement.

However, should you wish to have your child measured at the school, the school tailor will be available to take measurement and fitting for school uniform for the academic year 2009-2010 at TISB on the following dates.

Please call the school and speak with Mrs Jayashree on ext 206 or email her on jjayashree@tisb.ac.in to book an appointment. Once an appointment has been made arrive at the school on the appointed day and time and inform reception.

Please note: Uniforms must be paid for in full in advance.

For new day and boarding students, payment will be made with school fees.

Payment should be made in the form of a cheque payable to TISB and forwarded to the accounts department. Please contact Mr. Prabhu on extension 202 should you have any queries.

The school tailor will be available every Wednesday throughout the academic year from 09:30 am -11:00 am beginning August 19^th, 2009.

1.Please consult a specialist tailor for accurate measurements.
2. Low waisted Trousers, Skirts and Shorts shall not be allowed.
3. Do not keep excess loosings on the measurements in respect to the waist and chest.
Kindly give the actuals and necessary loosings will be taken care of.
4. Kindly adhere to the norms in regards to the lengths and waists of the garments.
An extra margin for future growth will be kept in the garment.
